   I am updating from GP 2015 to current version 18.3.1173. We upgrade to GP 2016 16.00.0864 and tried to upgrade to 18.3.1173 and get the error
   Failure encountered ON 1/11/2021 at 11:09:26 AM. Error: Product 0 does not support upgrading from version 16.00.0864.
   Looking at the upgrade path it says we can upgrade from 16.00.0864 to 18.3.1200 or later
   Thoughts?

   GP site:
   16.00.0864 or later
   U.S. Year-End
   KB4569476 U.S. Year-End
   Version 18.3.1200 or later

     I got it resolved I needed to install 18.3.12 and it started the upgrade

     Hi Linda,

     Looks like you have GP 2016 R2 with a hotfix – listed as KB4046341 YearEnd 11/19/2017.

   Hello Victoria, Which version of service pack is this for GP 2013? – 12.00.2181 (R2)

   Dynamics GP 2013 has up to 12.00.2130 (YE 2016) on the list above.

     According to the data from the GP 2013 detailed list of build numbers in Excel this is KB4025186 – Mid-Year Update from 6/19/2017.

     I don’t usually put every hotfix version in here, as there are just too many sometimes. I did add a link for the complete list of versions in Excel in case that helps.

   Victoria, there is a customer of ours, using the Dynamics GP Web Client (for GP2016), and they cannot send invoices via PDF. The button is greyed out. Even though on the fat client (remoting in), they can send them in PDF with no issue.

   Have you seen this before?

     Hi Matt,

     Unfortunately there are still many features not available in the Web Client. 😦 This may simply be one of them, but I do not have any personal experience with this, as none of our customers are using the Web Client currently.

   Anyone know how many server hops (or hops because of table changes) are needed from GP9 (9.00.0114) to GP2016?

     Matt,

     At least 3, since you can only skip one version at a time. So you can do something like:

     9.0 to 2010
     2010 to 2015
     2015 to 2016

   Love your clear listings. However, look a the listing for GP2013. Released Dec2013 and SP1 released 4-18-2013. Even for Microsoft that seems odd to release SP before General Release. 🙂

    Hi Victoria…the original version release documentation was incorrect for Dexterity on GP 2013 SP2. It should be 12.00.0270 instead of 269. The official releases are updated now so wanted to pass the information on to you as well.

      Ron,

      The typical Microsoft answer I have seen to this is to expect the first service pack about 6 months from release – so sometime around June.

    I’m getting GP utilities install/upgrade failed when i try to upgrade to sp5. I am running GP10.0
    It gives this to me when it tries to hit table taErrorCode. This is a table used with econnect. I’ve deleted Econnect and also that table from the dynamics database. Any help would be greatly appreciated

        I had a similar eConnect issue on GP10 that I resolved by running the GP2010 pre-upgrade script called “eConnect_Out_Setup.txt”, try that.
